the title comes from the film "dark city", in it shell beach symbolizes a lost innocence, utopia, heaven - somewhere else, for the main character who searches for shell beach, only to find out in the end that it was a false, implanted memory.
how many times a day do we look at our watches or a clock? how many people sit at their desk hating their job, and as and escape, look to a photo of an inviting beach with white sand clear blue water?
